Welcome!! I received my Bachelor’s degree in Textile Technology from N.C. State in 2001, and returned to NCSU in 2002 to get my Middle School Math teaching license. This is my fifth school year as the Dolphins math teacher. I love and listen to many different kinds of music, play bass and guitar, and have played a handful of other instruments in the past. I think math is really cool, and hope that all of my students will also learn how cool math is. My email is mrobinson1@wcpss.net. I am running out of PBS rewards. Donations of individually wrapped candy, pens, pencils, erasers, etc would be greatly appreciated. I will also need one extra page protector per student for Unit 11 on geometric transformations in the coordinate plane, so donations of page protectors would also be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your generosity!! West Point Military Academy is hosting a virtual bridge design contest. Students were told about it on 2/4/10 and were given the contest website. All it requires is a free download of the bridge design software. Students may work by themselves or in teams of two. I have set up a local contest so students can compete against each other, as well as compete against other students throughout the country who submit their designs. The Local Contest Code is DDMS. If a student has already logged in their team, they can still log in and enter the local code. This would be a great thing to do for someone who is interested in physics, architecture and design, or civil or mechanical engineering. The contest rules, eligibility, details, and free download can be found at http://bridgecontest.usma.edu/. Have fun building!! Please check out Study Island!!!!! http://www.studyisland.com login is first intial and last name followed by @ddms sample login: John Doe's login would be jdoe@ddms Password is dragons.
