HAPPY NEW YEAR!! 

In Social studies we are learning about The Great Depression and WWII.  Many students have commented that family members or friends remember these two events in our history.  Please encourage your student to interview these people to engage in living history!

In Language Arts we will be reading  WWII novels both as a class and individually.  Please ask your student about the Carolina Mudcats reading incentive program that the sixth grade is doing 
until Feb. 26.  It's a great opportunity to enjoy reading and Mudcats baseball as a family!

MGR-Please read the parent letter that went home regarding our upcoming MGR project.  The topic and parent signature are due Wed., Jan. 27. Parents should guide their students as they select a topic for our eight week research project.  It is very important that students choose something that interests them.
