Hello, and welcome to sixth grade science or math! I am looking forward to a new and exciting year with all of you! Here is some information about myself... I taught sixth and seventh grade Math and Science in Wilmington for 3 years after receiving my Bachelor's degree in Middle Grades Science and Math from UNCW. I married my husband Chris five years ago. We moved to Raleigh to continue our careers. I have been teaching Science here at Dillard for 5 years. Both of our parents and sisters also live in Raleigh (We both attended Leesville Road High School!). We love to travel, and have been on many trips together, including a week and a half camping trip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks this summer. Throughout the years we have taken many trips out west and visited many beautiful national parks in Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and California. Chris proposed to me at the Grand Canyon! We honeymooned in Hawaii and got to see an erupting volcanoe! We aIso saw another type of active volcanoe in Costa Rica last year :) I am looking forward to sharing my experiences and pictures with you this year in class. I also enjoy backpacking/camping, hiking, kayaking, swimming, running, shopping, reading romance novels, and playing with our two dogs "Lily" and "Amber." I ran cross country and track for UNCW, and now coach the girls track team here at Dillard. I can't wait to meet all of you and start another successful school year!
